WELCOME BOOKLET

Hello and welcome, I hope you had a good journey !

The "Maison de Lison" is a former winegrower's farmhouse that my husband and I have been renovating since 2022 to make it pretty and comfortable for you 😉 Please make yourself comfortable. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me. I am available to make your stay pleasant !

This welcome booklet will help you make good use of the house with some recommendations. It is advisable that all residents of the house read it. Thank you. You will also find information about local activities, shops, and restaurants...
In the blue MADO buffet, left drawer, you will find brochures with more detailed information about activities and walks...

You are in a natural environment, please excuse any surprises left by our insect and animal friends between cleaning and your arrival...

Please note that the house is non-smoking inside (an ashtray is provided for outdoor smoking) and pets are not allowed.

I wish you a pleasant stay and a wonderful discovery of the Cluny region.

Marion

Contact me :

As you know, I do not live on site but about an hour south of Besanceuil. Whatever your needs or questions, you can contact me on my smartphone. Please do not hesitate to call, as this is how we will "communicate" to ensure your stay goes well. I am a reflexologist and may be in a session; if so, please leave me a message. I will call you back as soon as possible.
For foreign guests, we will communicate via Airbnb messaging, so our exchanges can be translated directly, as unfortunately, I do not speak English well enough.

Please keep an eye on your Airbnb messages 😉

In case of any issues : if an appliance is not working properly, something is broken, or anything else, please let me know so I can repair it myself (please do not attempt to fix it yourself, thank you) and/or replace it, so you can fully enjoy the rest of your stay… and so can future guests.

Thanks 😉

The house :

- Emergency supplies : you will find salt, coffee, etc. in the cupboard under the sink, in the spice rack on the left.

- Cutlery is in the drawer integrated into the top left drawer unit next to the fridge.

- Dishwasher : IMPORTANT, use complete "all-in-one" tablets only.

- Green curtain : Please close the curtain when using the stove to prevent it from being too close to the fire.

- Large white bin : dedicated to recyclable waste, which will then go into the yellow bin outside.

- Shower door : Please make sure the shower door is fully closed against the stopper during your showers. It is a bit stiff and could cause water leakage on the side, and there is solid wood flooring nearby. However, leave it open after your shower to air out 😉.

- Doors : entrance and garden doors are reinforced for security, which can sometimes cause slight sticking. You need to press the handle fully down to unlock them.

- You may park against the house.

- A sheet is placed on the daybed unless I have cleaned the same day : under the awning, to protect it from dust and insects, please take time to remove it before settling comfortably upon arrival.

- Additional flat sheets for emergencies: if it gets too hot, please do not remove the duvet covers; simple sheets are available in the blue MADO buffet.

- Washing machine : located in the boiler room, accessible from the entrance facade. The key is in the blue MADO buffet, right drawer. After each use, please remember to lock the laundry room door and return the key to the buffet. Also, leave the washing machine door wide open when not in use to keep it fresh inside.

The pool :

The pool is cleaned and treated before each arrival.

You have full enjoyment of it and will not be disturbed since we do not live on site.

A pool skimmer is provided during your stay if you wish to remove leaves or insects daily.

Pool toys are stored in the large basket under the awning.

Safety :

Any child present at the pool during swimming time must be supervised by a responsible adult.

After swimming, you must remove the ladder and place it vertically against the garden wall. This makes access impossible and secures the pool.

Walking on the wooden pool edge is prohibited as it is not designed to support weight, use the ladder to enter and exit. If the water level falls below the minimum (which should not happen), please call me.

Thank you for your care and enjoy your swims !

The ladder :

Removing the ladder : pivot the base upwards. Place the ladder away from the pool, against the stone wall.

Installing the ladder : lean it against the pool. Put the two safety nuts on each side to secure the ladder.

The garden :

The garden area belonging to the house ends at the back wall.

The area to the left of the small wall does not belong to us, please do not go there.
